As required by Section 311, Title 25 of the Oklahoma Statutes, notice is hereby given that Independent School District No. I-007 will hold a Regular Board Meeting on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 6:00 p.m.  The place and street address of this meeting will be the Board of Education Room, Middle School Building at 603 East Pryor Avenue, Pocola, Oklahoma, 74902.

A.  Discuss, consider and vote:            Approve or disapprove Resolution for Schools and Libraries Universal Service (E-Rate) for 2017-2018. This resolution authorizes the filing of the Form 471 applications(s) for fund year 2017-2018 and the payment of the applicant’s share upon approval of funding and receipt of services.

B.  Discuss, consider and vote:            Approve Service Agreement with Oklahoma State School Boards Association’s Unemployment Compensation Trust Account (OPSUCA) for FY2017-2018 for $570.00 (last year $577.50).

C.  Discuss, consider and vote:            Approve membership in OSAG (Oklahoma Schools Assurance Group) and premium renewal for workers compensation insurance and management of claims for FY2017-2018 ($32,792.00) (last year $45,633.00).

D.  Discuss, consider and vote:            Ratify the lease-purchase agreement of HVAC equipment for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2018 as required under the provisions of the Equipment Lease-Purchase Agreement dated September 1, 2013 between Pocola School District and the Zion First National Bank (Payment #4 of 10 due September 30, 2017)

E.  Discuss, consider and vote:            Ratify the lease-purchase agreement of the 2016 Chevy Suburban for FY2017-2018 ($14,896.51 due April 22, 2018).

F.  Discuss, consider and vote:            Approve membership with OROS (Organization of Rural Oklahoma Schools) for FY2017-2018 ($500, same as last year).

G.  Discuss, consider and vote:            Approve Policy Maintenance Service Subscription with OSSBA for $750.00 for FY2017-2018. This subscription keeps us up to date with recommended policies from OSSBA. (last year $500.00)

H.  Discuss, consider and vote:            Approve agreement with Keystone Food Service for a fixed meal price for operation of child nutrition breakfast and lunch programs. ($3.25 per lunch equivalency, same as last year)

I.  Discuss, consider and vote:             Review and award bids from insurance agencies for general liability, property, crime, fleet auto, school board legal liability, and cyber liability insurance for FY2017-2018.

Proposed Executive Session to discuss and possible action regarding the employment, hiring, appointment, promotion, demotion, disciplining or resignation of any individual salaried public officer or employee, 1) rehiring temporary certified post-retirement teachers on a temporary post-retirement contract for FY2017-2018 as recommended by Site Principals, 2) rehiring temporary certified teachers on a temporary contract for FY2017-2018 as recommended by Site Principals, 3) rehiring temporary certified second year teachers for FY2017-2018 as recommended by Site Principals, 4) rehiring temporary support personnel for FY2017-2018 as recommended by Superintendent, 5) rehiring temporary post-retirement support personnel on a temporary post retirement contract for FY2017-2018 as recommended by Superintendent, 6) hiring a 4th grade teacher on a temporary contract for FY2017-2018, 7) hiring a High School Math teacher on a temporary contract for FY2017-2018, 8) hiring a High School Science teacher on a temporary contract for FY2017-2018, 9) hiring a High School Spanish teacher on temporary contract for FY2017-2018, 10) re-enter a cooperative agreement with Arkoma School District for speech language pathologist services for FY2017-2018, 11) accept any resignations received, so the board can return to Open Session and 1) vote to rehire temporary certified post-retirement teachers on a temporary post-retirement contract for FY2017-2018 as recommended by Site Principals, 2) vote to rehire temporary certified teachers on a temporary contract for FY2017-2018 as recommended by Site Principals, 3) vote to rehire temporary certified second year teachers for FY2017-2018 as recommended by Site Principals, 4) vote to rehire temporary support personnel for FY2017-2018 as recommended by Superintendent, 5) vote to rehire temporary post-retirement support personnel on a temporary post retirement contract for FY2017-2018 as recommended by Superintendent, 6) vote to hire a 4th grade teacher on a temporary contract for FY2017-2018, 7) vote to hire a High School Math teacher on a temporary contract for FY2017-2018, 8) vote to hire a High School Science teacher on a temporary contract for FY2017-2018, 9) vote to hire a High School Spanish teacher on a temporary contract for FY2017-2018, 10) vote to re-enter a cooperative agreement with Arkoma School District for speech language pathologist services for FY2017-2018, 11) vote to accept any resignations received, as authorized by OKLA.
